Croeso / Welcome
Gerddi Bluog farm is situated in the hills
above Harlech, in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, overlooking
the Valley of Cwm Bychan and the Rhinog Mountain range.
The farm of 410 acres rises to 1200 ft above
sea level, situated in a coarse upland area. Welsh Black Cattle
have been kept here since the 1960's as they are the breed most
suited to the terrain, as they are a hardy breed that thrive with
minimal input producing high quality meat and milk. |

Over the years we have concentrated on genetics ensuring
that breeding female replacements had good udders and good feet. Our
aim is to produce good breeding stock suited to both the pedigree and
commercial customers.
Herd health is paramount in both herds, and we take
pride in that both have 'Elite' herd health status, and are closed herds.
As well as the Pedigree Herd of Welsh Black Cattle
we also farm a flock of 350 Welsh Mountain breeding ewes with 140 replacement
females kept each year.
Visitors are always welcome.
